As long as you have some cash on hand it wouldn't be bad. Otherwise, these guys are dickheads. They dress up like Gestapo.

most American police have gotten too militarized anyway, so you already have been pulled over by them :(

Nope. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, so our police aren’t too bad....my local town has their own small police force, otherwise the more rural areas are patrolled by the RCMP. They are all mostly pretty fair and nice here (as you’d expect in Canada, I guess, haha!)

Oh wow, I wouldn’t expect the RCMP to patrol like that! No provincial police force?

Some provinces do - Ontario has their own Provincial Police force. Here in Nova Scotia, however, it’s mostly RCMP everywhere rural/semi-rural and local town police forces in towns large enough to be able to afford their own (closest local town police force to me is Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, about 20 mins away).
Bridgewater has a few ‘community’ vehicles - a Dodge Caravan and I think one other. Their ‘unit’ cars are a mix of Tauri and Chargers, and I think maybe one Explorer...?
The RCMP around here, AFAIK are almost all newer Tauri with a few older Crown Vics left, and then a few newer Explorers, one or two Silverado crew cab pickups with rear boxes, and a few Yukon SUVs.

aaah ok ok ok
Are there many local town police forces? I know Canada as a whole is fairy sparsely populated, especially once you get outsideToronto an Montreal. It seems Halifax would really be the only place large enough for its own force in the whole province.
